Aspire nautilus prime x "check usb" malfunction

Hi,

I bought the nautilus prime x 5 days ago. Suddenly the screen keeps displaying "check usb" even though there is no usb plugged in. Only when I do plug in the usb-c the "check usb" goes away.

This is the description in the user manual for "check usb":

"The charging voltage is over 5.8V or lower than 4.5V."

What I think is going on is that the vape doesn't detect a voltage reading (0V), and thus displays "check usb", because 0V<4.5V. My hypothesis is that something is wrong with the usb detection.
