Plato LCD screen on all the time

Hi,

I have a recently purchased Aspire Plato, after charging the LCD display screen now stays on all the time. It was turning off automatically after a few minutes without use.

Can anyway help me get the LCD screen to turn off automatically again, please?

Otherwise, loving the device.

I would return it to the retailer where you got it for an exchange as there is no setting on the device to set the screen to on all the time or auto off. It should always be auto off.

Many thanks for your reply. It would be a logical step.
Unfortunately that's not possible as I live in another country.

I will try a software reinstall, but owning a Mac doesn't help with that....
so will take time.

You can also try to reboot the device by removing the battery and letting it sit for 5 minutes, reinstall the battery and see if that helps.

Try again with the software update and make sure that it finishes completely before ending the update. Let us know how it works out!

Hi,

I tried an update to V5 yesterday. I'm not certain it worked correctly.
The update bar froze midway, however the device shows V5 now.

It's improve the glitches, but still not re instated auto off on the screen.

I'll get round to trying the update install again, sometime.........

Try one of the previous firmware upgrades for this model. I suggest v03 that you can get here: https://www.aspirecig.com/upgrade/plato/330.html
then v04 here: https://www.aspirecig.com/upgrade/plato/329.html See if that clears up your problem. :-B
