Beware: Fake Aspire K1's on Ebay, and eBay covers up negative feedback

Well I just got off the phone with eBay Customer Service. Do not trust anyone's 100% feedback. Especially power sellers. They have influence over how their feedback history is recorded. They can be knowingly selling fakes, and eBay will remove the negative feedback left, for fear of losing profit.

I was sold a blatant fake. I left this feedback: "knowingly sold fake/imitation Aspire K1-no scratch code. RUDE. Fought for refund"

And it was then removed. This ticks me off, and you can read the transcript if you want to know why.

This is the story:

So obviously I bought an Aspire K1 Glassomizer top. ALL Aspire products come with a "scratch and verify" code to stop counterfeiters. The one I bought from ebay did NOT. This is not subjective, this is black and white.

I called eBay customer service twice, and was connected to a "feedback specialist" and was told that although she agrees I was in the right, and totally justified for leaving that feedback, and the feedback SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN REMOVED, she can't put it back. Her hands were tied.

Plain as day, black and white. I was sold an obvious fake, I left negative feedback, and it was removed, leaving the fraudulent seller with clean feedback again, and eBay knows about it, and admitted it was unjustifiably removed, but will not put it back.

This seller will continue selling fakes and nobody will know about it, and those that do, get their negative feedback removed by eBay.. So here I am posting it on here, so people can beware.

This is the screenshot of the conversation between me and the seller, proving he is in the wrong and selling fakes (Start with the first image, the messages go from bottom to top):

If anyone wants the link to the actual auction, PM me. I won't leave it up here. My beef is with eBay, and not the seller. Even though the seller is selling fakes, and was rude, I got my refund. EBAY is the problem here, as well as the seller who sells fakes.

  • @busst You will only receive the Scratch Off Security Code on a 5-Pack of Aspire K1's. So if you only purchased Qty: #1 or less than #5 of Aspire K1 Glassomizer. Unfortunately, you will not receive the Scratch Off Security Code to verify the product. You would have to purchase in units of #5, so that way you would receive the box for the 5-pack Aspire K1 Glassomizer. Aspire only uses one Scratch Off Security Code on the main box and normally the seller will not send the outer package if your buying anything less than #4 and some make you purchase the complete 5-package to obtain the outer shell that holds the smaller individual box units.
  • @busst and @Southy321 This is the very reason to avoid eBay altogether when purchasing products that you want to be genuine. There are many sites that sell ONLY Genuine Products by Aspire and it's competitors. If you ask around you will get good info on the good sellers. But avoid eBay and other auction sites if you want the real thing.

@charlzrocks Trust me eBay is the last place I would ever purchase Vaping Products.

I was just trying to help the OP, if they weren't able to return the product. They could request the original 5-Pack Box for verification.

@charlzrocks Like you said, we have made a list of legitimate online retailers where you can purchase authentic Aspire products from here in the US. I'm just looking for that Forum Thread currently b/c I personally added a few legitimate websites that sell Aspire Vaping Products. I know you did, and a few other members did also.

But when in doubt go through https://online.aspirecig.com Then additionally we even have eBay listed as a beware of purchase website for Aspire Products under the Copycat Thread in the Forum.

    EXACTLY! :-bd
  • Never, never, never buy vape material elsewhere than a specialized shop or webshop.
Unless you personally know the seller ...
  • Is it true, that you only get a scratch code with packs of 5? I've bought individual ones before, that had a scratch code on it... I've never bought a 5 pack, but scratched 2 codes for aspire k1's...

I agree wholeheartedly, with the exception of a local buy/trade group I am involved with. It is a fairly small group that does not tolerate dishonest people. I must admit, it is a really nice way to try new gear. :) I guess that almost falls under the description of, "Unless you personally know the seller..."
