Triton 0.8 ohm coil problems

I am using an Innokin iTaste MVP 3.0 Pro box mod with an Aspire Triton loaded with a 0.8 ohm coil. The first coil functioned properly, I have used three coils since then and the ohms fluctuate seemingly randomly between 0.4 and 1.4 ohms. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Would this be a problem with defective coils, or my mod? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • It might be the mod. I personally haven't seen them fluctuate that much. Have you tried a different tank and coils?
  • I am not aware that Aspire makes .8 ohm coils for the Triton. Only the 1.8 ohm, .4 ohm and .3 ohm and Ni200 .15 ohm coil for TC. You may have fake Aspire coils my friend! :-q
  • I have seen the Ohms fluctuate due to heating of the stainless steel but that was only in a temperature controlled mod. I would check to see if the coils are authentic because there are no 0.8Ohm coils for the Triton made by Aspire. Also if possible, I would try another atty on your device and see if you have a bad mod.
